Did you Know?

Experts suggest that bonding with your bump before birth can help the development of your baby. When you feel love your brain produces the hormone oxytocin which influences your baby's development. A bonding activity like massaging your bump calms your nervous system and this influences your baby's nervous system in a positive and calming way. Connecting with your bump through this technique can help hard-wire your baby's brain to respond to any type of distress with self-soothing strategies.

Try This
Bump Bonding

Each night take some time to bond with your baby. Use pregnancy massage oil to massage your bump. Long, slow, circular movements will slow the nervous system and relax you and your baby. While massaging, talk to your baby, telling him or her about your day or what you have planned for when they arrive.

You could also involve your partner in massaging your bump so that they are involved in the pre-arrival bonding. they could talk to the baby or read a short story. This is a great way to connect as a family.

Help Plant the seeds for a lifetime of mindful parenting.
