Compiled by the South Sydney Youth Service, Speak Out is a book about the experience of living with a mental health issue. Speak Out contains insightful stories from young people about their lives, struggles and triumphs and is designed to demystify mental health issues for young people and others.

This resource kit takes a strengths perspective by focusing on what is going right or what's working in a young person's life, and is adaptable to a wide range of community and education settings. The resources can be used by a wide range of workers (school counsellors, youth workers, social workers and community development workers) involved with young people ages 9-16 years.
